The Institut Catal\u00e0 del Peu has developed a new\nproject about functional assessment and sports technique assessment for high performance\nsportsmen and also for future sportsmen with a high performance, virtually of\nany kind of sport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This Project is carried out by experts of all\nprofessional disciplines who get involved in the high performance sport. Among\nthem, there are federations, clubs, physiotherapists, coaches, trainers and our\nbiomechanical staff. All of them act in unison about this subject, in order to\nassess the functional state of the sportsman\/sportswoman by one hand, and the\ntechnical execution of technical gestures which will be appropriate, by the\nother hand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This biomechanical Project is carried out with the\nbest technology in the market of 3D photogrammetry and surface muscular\nelectromyography, together with other tools which make possible to assess the\nsportsman in different situations, as well as the suitable set of instruments\nfor the functional assessment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The 3D photogrammetry allows us the movement capture\nin real time and to achieve kinematic parameters, like angles, accelerations\nand segments speeds, to calculate articular centers, center of gravity, to\nobtain coordinates of anatomical points, to calculate temporary-space\nparameters, like resting times and movements executions times, to make\nstatistical calculus, like typical deviations and arithmetic means of obtained\ndata.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The muscular electromyography measures the muscular\nactivity in an integrated and synchronized way with the movement capture in\nreal time by 3D photogrammetry, allowing us to know how this activity and\nimportance is, regarding the rest of all the measured parameters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Finally, we contributed with very important data\nshared among all the staff, contributing a report with detailed aspects to\nimprove of every sportsman from each professional\u2019s point of view. Thus, we\nguarantee the sportsman\/sportswoman and the professionals who work with them to\nbe able to do an appropriate prevention task, which improvements should be <\/p>\n\n\n\n
carried out at a functional level if they take part in\nthe technique and aspects to improve and also how about the technique.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The way of working with sportsmen\/sportswomen is\nconstant during the season and also specific against possible lesions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At the beginning of the season when the\nsportsman\/sportswoman has no lesion, we carry out a first functional and\nbiomechanical assessment of the timely technical gestures. We make such report\nand we carry out assessments from time to time, according to the advisability\nof the whole staff who work with the sportsman\/sportswoman.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In case there is a lesion, it is commenced a specific\nmonitoring program during the readjustment process of the lesion until the\ncomplete recovery of the sportsman\/sportswoman, where we will make sure that\nthe sportsman\/sportswoman is totally recovered from the lesion at a functional\nlevel and that technically it will be reflected like that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
