A few months ago, in Fitmetric, the biomechanical department of the Institut Catal\u00e0 del Peu, were carried out a series of functional assessments to some tennis players from the Catalan Tennis Federation, with the aim of assessing the articular functionality of the tennis players. Subsequently, on April, a selection of these tennis players would carry out the biomechanical analysis of the technical gestures of the scrimmages in order to analyze the articular functionality during the game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The aim of these surveys is to study a lot the articular functionality of the tennis players, inside and outside the tennis court, although it\u2019s the main purpose. Obviously, our readers and above all, the tennis amateurs, can already imagine that lesions on tennis courts are mainly an intrinsic problem of the tennis player that is reflected in the game which solution or prevention of such lesions is not only applied in the tennis court work, but also in the work which can be carried out outside. It\u2019s true that training is already very demanding, but many times certain factors are not analyzed (or are not correctly analyzed), which are going to condition the tennis player and his\/her game, and therefore, it will depend the prevention of lesions to a large degree.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On biomechanical analysis we observe and try if some of many hypothesis are carried out in tennis nowadays, since the ones of the trainer\u2019s interest, the technical trainer and those from Fitmetric, which we have thought about, by a special interest, in something apparently, logical, like asking oneself: \u201cIs the tennis player born or made\u201d. A great many data to analyze and to give a \u201cyes\u201d or \u201cno\u201d answer if the established hypothesis is carried out, which can besides announce with the aim of deeping in the knowledge of tennis both technicians and physical trainers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
