Nowadays, the Institut Catal\u00e0 del Peu already has an agreement of collaboration with Ephion Health since 6 months ago approximately, with the aim of joining together their work-related experiences in order to develop a sporting biomechanical analysis technology. Ephion Health already has a biomechanical analysis technology prototype through inertial sensors in the health field. The Institut Catal\u00e0 del Peu will help Ephion Health that its biomechanical analysis technology will have its place in the sporting world thanks to the experience they give through Fitmetric, the sporting biomechanical department which already has 4 years working at full capacity, with experience on running, cycling, tennis, football or the biomechanical functional assessment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now the strengths are adding up when, besides, relying on the Proam triathlon club. This agreement of collaboration is to assess sportsmen\/sportswomen from the Proam club using both the Fitmetric technology, (Vicon system by cameras and markers) and like the Ephion health and, therefore, to validate the inertial technology through the Vicon system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Every process of technological development leads to analyze in some moment, in order to validate and on this first process is where you can find the collaboration between both companies. For this, there is a standardized protocol and they measure to different sportsmen\/sportswomen a series of movements where we try that the results between both technologies match up regarding some preestablished hypothesis. Besides, these sportsmen\/sportswomen must fulfill some requirements in order to guarantee that the hypothesis will be carried out, therefore, it was necessary and additional number of sportsmen\/sportswomen which could fulfill those requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In order to welcome these sportsmen\/sportswomen, Proam opens its club to the Institut Catal\u00e0 del Peu and also to Ephion Health to take these data and to carry out all the necessary process to achieve the validation of results.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In parallel, the competitor sportsmen\/sportswomen receive a complete biomechanical analysis and information and improvement guidelines on their biomechanics and race technique.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This collaboration will extend until having validated the inertial technology and we hope to be able to achieve a prototype of test sporting biomechanical technology in a few months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
